New Year, New Me, 2019

Walking around my neighbourhood, I realised how many young fir trees get thrown out onto the streets after the Christmas period. I decided to go and plant mine again, hoping to give a second chance at life.

20 days after planting my tree, I returned back to the Marshes to see how the tree was holding up. What I found was a hole in the ground and the tree now vertical, dumped into a nearby ditch. Looking like the work of no animal, I laughed at the inevitability my tree was going to be fly tipped just like any other tree around this time of the year.
